About the author : Anatolia
The lunch order. Döner over rice is what people in Turkey eat when they have forty minutes and want to sit down.
What is döner with rice?
Serving döner over rice — pilav üstü döner — is one of the standard formats in Turkey, alongside the plate and the wrap. The rice is not an afterthought: Turkish pilav is cooked in stock with butter so each grain stays separate, and it is there to absorb the fat and juices coming off the freshly carved meat. That combination, rich meat over buttered rice, is the reason this version is a meal rather than a snack.
How we prepare it at Anatolia Grill
Our döner is made in-house from beef, stacked on the spit here and carved to order. It is served over rice with mixed vegetables. 180 g for 379 CZK. If you want the same meat without the rice, the döner plate is 349 CZK; wrapped in flatbread it is 289 CZK.
Take it home from Anatolia Meat Market
The beef in our döner comes from cattle raised on our own farm and processed in our own slaughterhouse. The same beef is sold at the Anatolia Meat Market next door.
From our own farm, not from a supplier
Anatolia Grill is part of Agro Řeřichy s.r.o., a Czech company that has been working in agriculture, meat processing and gastronomy for more than ten years. We breed our own lambs and fatten our own beef cattle at the farm in Rakovník, process them in our own slaughterhouse, and sell them in our own butchery in Prague — the shop right next to this restaurant. That is the reason the meat on your plate is traceable back to a single chain we control from start to finish.
