About the author : Anatolia
If sucuk is the loud Turkish breakfast, this is the quiet one — beef, eggs, salt, and nothing else getting in the way.
What is eggs with roasted beef (kavurma)?
The Turkish name for slowly roasted meat cooked in its own fat is kavurma. Traditionally it was a way of preserving meat after a slaughter: cook it down, cover it in its own fat, keep it through the winter. Cooked with eggs it becomes a breakfast dish that is far richer than it looks — tender pieces of beef, a little of the fat they were cooked in, and eggs stirred through until barely set. There is no sauce and no spice mix hiding anything; it works only if the beef is good.
How we prepare it at Anatolia Grill
That is why we make it with our own beef. The meat is cut into small pieces and sautéed until the edges catch, then farm-fresh eggs go in and the pan comes off the heat quickly. Served with warm homemade bread, 199 CZK, available all day from 08:00 to midnight.
Take it home from Anatolia Meat Market
Both halves of this dish are on sale next door. The Anatolia Meat Market sells beef from our own cattle — the butcher will cut it for kavurma if you tell them what you are cooking — and fresh eggs from our farm in Rakovník are on the same counter.
From our own farm, not from a supplier
Anatolia Grill is part of Agro Řeřichy s.r.o., a Czech company that has been working in agriculture, meat processing and gastronomy for more than ten years. We breed our own lambs and fatten our own beef cattle at the farm in Rakovník, process them in our own slaughterhouse, and sell them in our own butchery in Prague — the shop right next to this restaurant. That is the reason the meat on your plate is traceable back to a single chain we control from start to finish.

Frequently asked questions
Where can I eat eggs with roasted beef in Prague?
At Anatolia Grill Restaurant, Na Poříčí 1933/36, Praha 1, every day from 08:00 until midnight.
What is kavurma?
Meat slowly cooked in its own fat until tender. It began as a preservation method in Anatolia and is now eaten as a breakfast and meze dish.
Where does your beef come from?
From cattle we fatten ourselves at our farm in Rakovník and process in our own slaughterhouse — the same beef sold at our butchery next door.
Is this dish spicy?
No. It is seasoned simply so the flavour of the beef comes through. Chilli flakes are on the table if you want them.
