What is Turkish tea?

Turkey drinks more tea per person than any other country in the world, and almost all of it is grown domestically on the Black Sea coast around Rize. It is brewed in a çaydanlık, a stacked double pot: strong tea concentrate in the top, hot water in the bottom, so every glass is diluted to the strength the drinker wants — açık (light) or koyu (dark). It is served in small tulip-shaped glasses, held by the rim because the glass is too hot to hold anywhere else, and never with milk.

How we prepare it at Anatolia Grill

We brew ours in the traditional double pot and serve it in tulip glasses throughout the day. 39 CZK a glass. If you order our Turkish breakfast at 279 CZK, the tea is unlimited and included — which is not a promotion, it is simply how a Turkish breakfast works.
