About the author : Anatolia

A Turkish breakfast is not a plate — it is a table. At Anatolia Grill, on Na Poříčí in the centre of Prague, we serve one from 08:00 every single day.

What is a Turkish breakfast?

In Turkey, breakfast (kahvaltı) is the meal people take the most time over. Instead of one dish, small bowls cover the whole table: several cheeses, black and green olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, parsley, butter, honey, jam and cold cuts, with warm bread in the middle and a boiled egg on the side. Nothing is complicated on its own — the pleasure is in building each bite yourself, and in the fact that nobody is in a hurry. The tea keeps coming until you stop asking.

How we prepare it at Anatolia Grill

Our spread follows the same logic. You get an assortment of cheeses, olives, fresh tomatoes, cucumbers and parsley, butter, honey and jam, cold cuts, a boiled egg, warm homemade bread — and traditional Turkish tea, refilled as often as you like, at no extra charge. It is priced at 279 CZK for one person, which in the centre of Prague is closer to the cost of a café brunch than to what actually arrives at the table.

Take it home from Anatolia Meat Market

Almost everything on that table is sold next door at the Anatolia Meat Market: the cheeses, the olives, the sucuk and cold cuts, the butter and the eggs. Guests often eat breakfast here on a Saturday and then walk two doors down to buy the same cheese and sucuk to set their own table at home during the week.

From our own farm, not from a supplier

Anatolia Grill is part of Agro Řeřichy s.r.o., a Czech company that has been working in agriculture, meat processing and gastronomy for more than ten years. We breed our own lambs and fatten our own beef cattle at the farm in Rakovník, process them in our own slaughterhouse, and sell them in our own butchery in Prague — the shop right next to this restaurant. That is the reason the meat on your plate is traceable back to a single chain we control from start to finish.
